Stone villa with pool among the olive groves of Moncioni

On the hills of Moncioni, where the Valdarno begins to climb towards the Chianti mountains, this late-nineteenth-century manor villa was restored in 2015 by a Florentine architect using local materials: stone, terracotta, chestnut and lime plaster.

The main house has an entrance hall with a grand staircase, a drawing room with fireplace, a dining room, an eat-in kitchen with pantry and a study. Upstairs there are six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The 60 m² guest annexe, with its own entrance, is ideal for guests or staff.

The 12×5 metre pool, edged in terracotta, looks straight out over the valley. Around it lie one and a half hectares of park with centuries-old olive trees, cypresses and an irrigated lawn. The west-facing porticoes are the place for summer dinners.

Montevarchi and its services are ten minutes away, the A1 Valdarno junction twenty, Florence and Siena less than an hour.
